Which is a better complete golf set for a beginner: Wilson Tour RX or Walter Hagen T3?
Question by doCtorNoC: Which is a better complete golf set for a beginner: Wilson Tour RX or Walter Hagen T3?
I’m a beginner at golf and i’m looking to buy a complete golf set. These two sets look pretty good to me and they’re both on sale for around the same price of 200$. If there are other cheap but somewhat good quality golf sets for beginners then tell me about them too.

The Hagen’s are probably a bit better…they are owned by, Dick’s Sporting Goods, aka, Golf Works, aka, Golf Galaxy..and the Golf Works components are pretty good for a beginner.
If you can afford, $399…go with Adams OS’s! 10 times better than either set.
No one can decide the selection but you. Since you will be doing the swinging, the club should feel weighted at the club head, with a comfortable shaft flex and the soles of the clubs laying flat on the ground ( proper lie angle ). If you get these features correct you will have the right set of clubs.
I agree with googie you can only decide what works best for you we can recomend what we know works for us but it might not do the same for you
You get what you pay for. At $200, you are going to get an OK set of clubs, but nothing special at all. If you have any money left I strongly suggest that you get the swing instruction DVD from http://www.ajgolf.com
That will help you with your swing, which is much more important than the clubs you buy. Once you have a good swing, then buy a good set of clubs.
Also take a look at http://www.golfswingsimplified.com for swing advice, and http://www.golfswingsimplified.com/links/tgw.php for a connection to another source for complete sets.
