After 2 rounds with this ball and many other balls including titleist, taylormade, call.. etc I can say that this ball simply works!

It really flies straight-er than other balls I've tried. I'm a beginner and I think this ball is perfect for you as well.

for this price, it's a can't miss

The XL 5000 won't make much of a difference to beginners but is priced to lessen the blow if lost. The XL 5000 balls may provide a minimal difference over the XL from the fairway. Most balls, cheap and expensive, will provide very similar results off the tee.
